Bachelors degree in Public Relations Journalism and Mass Media communication International Relations or any other relevant field. Master degree preferable
A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in the field of development of communications public relations journalism marketing or a related field.
Capability and proven experience in crafting communications strategies with an eye toward results-based management.
Capability and proven experience crafting messages in various formats (press releases websites success stories blog entries tweets etc.) targeting a variety of audiences.
Ability and proven experience in multi-tasking in taking initiative and working effectively under pressure.
Familiarity with branding compliance.
Excellent written oral and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
A master’s degree in the field of public relations journalism or marketing is preferred.
Familiarity with website development and social media platforms is preferred
Fluent in written and spoken Pashto/Dari and English languages.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop annual/quarterly work plan of public relations for the ministry;
Develop publicity strategies and campaigns online and offline to disseminate information about ministry and promote its profile;
Liaising with key government and non- government stakeholders seeking their coordination in promoting economic development programs;
Prepare and analyse reports from press conferences and other ministry related events;
Develop newsletters and other publications in Pashto/Dari and English language;
Provide other support and assistance as required in the fields;
Provide guidelines for the directorate in terms of branding of the ministry and web presence development;
Liaising with key government and non- government stakeholders seeking their coordination in promoting urban development programs;
Any other duty assigned by the line manager;
