         Bachelor degree in Business Administration Public Administration or Social Studies.

         Having good commands in oral and written English Dari and Pashto.


         Having minimum two years working experience in the field of administration or receptionist with International Organization.



         Ability to work in team and individual.

         Prioritizing and scheduling workload to ensure completion when faced with deadlines.

         Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including government official regional offices and other staffs.

         Following written and oral instruction with minimum supervision.

         Exercising independent judgment wisdom common sense and initiative.

         Thoroughly carrying out Save the Children International’s policies and practices.



         Principles and practices of public administration and organization applicable to a local agency.

         Capability of using modern office methods practices procedures and equipment.

         Utilizing computer software (Ms. Office). 

         Well commend on local languages (Dari & Pashto) as well as English.

Additional job responsibilities


The duties and responsibilities set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time which are reasonable in relation to their level of skills and experience.


In the event of a significant humanitarian emergency the post-holder will be expected to work outside their normal job description; vary their working hours; and occasionally work from a different location should the need arise.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities


·         Receive incoming calls/mail/packages/deliver messages/mail/packages in office and distribute the same to relevant office.

·         Operating telephone switch board.

·         Greeting visitors and following security procedures.

·         Maintaining staff Mobile Phone logbook and ensure personal expenses reimbursement.

·         Keep reception area neat and professional in appearance.

·         Checking AF – country office email account and forward emails to concerned staff.

·         Follow-up with weekly whereabouts of International Staff.

·         Tracking and recording of correspondences.

·         Updating staff contact list (Phone# E-mail ID and etc. on monthly bases.

         Any other tasks assigned by line manager.
