Having Bachelor degree with Minimum 3 years of high-level experience in writing editing reporting and communicating complex programmatic information in reader-friendly formats and styles;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to work in a team;
Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations;
Strong analytical reporting and writing abilities;
Strong social media skills and background with a good creativity and ability to take initiative;
Strong ability to MS Word and Excel effectively.
Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
Under the guidance and supervision of Afghan Planning Agency (APA) representative in Kabul and the direct supervision of The Project Manager in South Region the report writer assist the field office by collecting Protection monitoring related data preparing arranging and submitting Protection assessments/visits Periodical Protection reports weekly monthly mid-year and Final Reports.
The Report writer will go through all ongoing project and report documents (Project document Annual Work Plans annual reports and project evaluation reports) to draft the progress and final report of the project. The Report writer will work in close contact with the UNHCR Senior Management and Project Manager in South Region to finalize the reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Report writer will write the progress and final reports for the project in line with UNHCR standards and requirements;
Discuss with the UNHCR Senior Management to have the best understanding of UNHCR report requirements;
Have interactions with project manager to gain additional input;
Submit a final report including proper layout and formatting according to UNHCR standards
Under the overall guidance of the APA Program sector the report writer is responsible for the following:
Editing revising and rewriting as needed to produce high quality timely results-based progress and project end report aligned with UNHCR established standards and formats;
Prepare specific report-related feedback to management throughout the report preparation process flagging problematic issues;
Engage fully in established processes among progress reporting colleagues to improve quality control workflow and efficiency; and provide ongoing feedback and input on other such innovations and improvements;
Participate actively in reporting training meetings briefings discussions as required to support APA office adherence to results-based high-quality timely reporting principles;
Contribute to capacity development efforts for new colleagues in collaboration with other team members;
Serve as back-up for team members upon request and as needed;
Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
