  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering and Masters in Environmental Engineering will be preferable
  • 5 years of Professional experience
  • Establish and build effective working relationships with staff and partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package especially Excel Outlook PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent language proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong oral communication skills

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assessment of the current sanitation practices and service provision in Mazar-e-sharif City;
  • Supervise and provide technical support to the survey teams.
  • Preparation of accurate Sludge Flow Diagram (SFD) based on the detailed assessment carried out;
  • Provide technical support in the preparation of sanitation plan for Mazar-e-sharif City;
  • Establish Mazar City Sanitation Task Force;
  • Organizing Sanitation Task Force meetings on  regular basis;
  • Support in the capacity need assessment of the Mazar AUWSSC SBU and in developing of a capacity development plan;
  • Assessment of the preferred and appropriate urban sanitation solutions and technologies for the different parts of Mazar-e-sharif City;
  • Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies and cost benefit analysis of different sanitation solutions;
  • Conduct environmental assessment of the sanitation options;
  • Organize stakeholder and community consultation workshops and sanitation campaigns.
