Work Experience:5-7 Years

  • Graduate degree in medicine preferably an MPH

  • Five or more years of experience in health program implementation

  • Comprehensive understanding of Afghanistan health priorities and players

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office software applications (office 365 apps Excel Word Outlook Explorer Power Point)

  • Fluency in English Dari and Pashto

  • Preferable experience working with international donor agencies

  • Excellent Interpersonal organizational multitasking and communication skills and a high capacity of work able to overcome stress and work under pressure with high degree of flexibility.

  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks short deadlines and intense pressure to perform

  • Ability and Willingness to travel extensively in Afghanistan target provinces

  • Ability to negotiate and solve conflicts

  • Ability to identify solutions for complex problems

  • Strong ability to adapt a very demanding challenging and changing situations

  • Strong skills in facilitation team building and coordination

  • Ability to manage and facilitate trainings.

  • Experience in public speaking and professional presentations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

Coordinate with GCMU & PMU of MoPH to ensure HEMAYAT community and facility based interventions are being implemented through SEHATMANDI contractors in target provinces.

Represent HEMAYAT at SEHATMANDI coordination meetings at national and provincial level.

Establish a dynamic and fluent channel of communication between HEMAYAT and SEHATMANDI NGOs in target provinces.

Establish a coordination forum/body between HEMAYAT MoPH and SEHATMANDI partners of target provinces.

Regularly organize and conduct HEMAYAT-SEHATMANDI Coordination forum meetings and ensure proper documentation

Address project program implementation challenges at BPHS level and identify and propose proactively appropriate solutions

Identify document and communicate technical challenges lessons learned and stories from project implementation at BPHS level and share with project supervisors.

Actively contribute in information sharing and knowledge management within project and with relevant partners.

Conduct regular field monitoring visits from target provinces to identify success and challenges of project implementation at BPHS level.

Actively participate in the project work planning and data review meetings.

Work collaboratively in team with HEMAYAT central/provincial team and SEHATMANDI implementers to ensure that HEMAYAT resources for program implementation are available.

Ensure submission of quality project report and share it with relevant HEMAYAT technical units.

Comply with Jhpiego and JHU operational policies and regulations.
