Specific responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to;
Assist the Survey Engineer and RE in all survey related activities
3. Monitoring and Progress Controls
Participate in meetings assisting the SE and RE with the contractor regarding the progress of work
Ad-hoc and regular communication with the Deputy/Team Leader Resident Engineer and Senior Quantity Surveyor regarding work plan and activities.
4. Final Product
Successful completion of survey related activities for all physical Structure’s works.
Complete survey data relating to pre during and post-construction for all project sites.
5. Qualifications and Experience
a. Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education)
BSc. Degree in Geodesy/Road/Civil Engineering.
b. Work Experience
At least 4 years’ experience within the Engineering Survey field.
Proven capability of the use of Total station including recording data preparation of survey reports
c. Key Competencies
Highly skilled in the use and operation of the latest survey equipment leveling instrument Theodolite Electronic distance meter Levelling Machine TOTAL STATION GPS Geodetic GPS Stations Clinometer’s etc.
Is able to converse easily in English both verbal and written. Fluent in both Dari and Pashtu verbal and written.
Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose and Scope of Assignment
The Surveyor works under the overall guidance of the Resident Engineer with technical guidance from the Deputy Team Leader of the THRCP/CSU. The Surveyor in general is responsible for the preliminary technical work on a project site and conducting surveys pre during and after construction. Regular checking and correcting survey data. Be responsible for keeping all survey related data records.
