Education: 

Bachelor of Science (BSc) (16th grade graduates) from Education or Literature Faculties: (Math & Physic) University graduate from other faculties with three years teacher training experience in Math & Physic subjects with an International organization is also acceptable.

Work Experience:

At least three years working experience in teacher training preferably with an international organization.

Languages Skills:

Fluency in written and spoken both Dari and Pashto languages and Good in English.

Duties & Responsibilities

Carry out monitoring and supervision of Community-Based Education classes/schools.

Build CBE teachers and Ministry of Education (MoE) related hub school principals/headmasters’ capacity through facilitation of various training sessions as per the project training plans and on the job assistance during the monitoring visits.

Collect school and training data and assist Project M&E and Data Officers in data analysis and interpretation and development of reports.

Conduct baseline/assessment and technical surveys that will primarily be used for eligibility and feasibility purposes.

Conduct community mobilization and class/school establishment.



Assist Project/Field Supervisor in developing Community-Based Education (CBE) project scope.



KEY RELATIONS



Reports to the Project/Field Supervisor.

Collaborate with Project M&E and Data Officer Community Mobilizer Technical Advisor and other project staff as well and staff from other projects. 

Ensures coordination of project activities with other colleagues and program team.

Contribute to all new initiatives and data collection for education and gathering relevant data and information.



KEY RESULT EXPECTED



CARE primary contact to the communities the Teacher Trainer works directly with CBE teachers School Management Committee (SMC) members students parents of students Ministry of Education (MoE) related hub schools and Provincial and District Education Departments of MoE.



Monitoring and Supervision of CBE classes/schools:



Carries out classes and schools’ monitoring and supervision to make sure that classes/schools are functional in line with project objectives strategy and plan and provide quality basic education to students;

Prepares school annual monthly weekly and daily monitoring and supervision plans;

Undertakes regular visits to monitor and oversee classes/schools overall performance;

Observes classroom teaching-learning process and activities and provides on the job training and assistance to the teachers;

Checks school records (student teacher attendance inventory etc.) and provides principals and teachers required and appropriate M&E instructive assistance in timely manner;

Undertakes school material need assessment during the monitoring trips and makes sure timely delivery of required materials to schools;

Develops and helps principals and teachers conduct various tests and exams particularly mid-term and final exams for students;

Undertakes physical check of class/school building in order to ensure the existence of conducive physical learning environment;

Makes sure that provincial education department receives a copy of the final exam results;

Maintains good working relations with MoE and community authorities and representatives.



Capacity Building and enhance basic education quality inside CBE classes:



Builds MoE relevant school principals/headmasters and CBE teachers’ capacity through conducting various training sessions as per the project training plans and on the job assistance during monitoring visits so that they best meet their school management and teaching-learning responsibilities;

Undertakes school principals/headmasters and teachers’ training need assessment;

Prepares training plan for school principals/headmasters and schoolteachers;

Develops and conducts training programs for school principals/headmasters and teachers;

Develops training aid materials;

Conducts evaluation of training sessions;

Assists M&E/Technical Advisors in developing training manuals.

Support Teachers and Program In order to enhance quality of basic education service delivery;

Enhance CBE teacher capacity for checking student Psychosocial attendance Sickness and competencies periodically;

Make sure schools are well-managed received appropriate support school system are accountable adequate time spent for each subject. 

Make sure that lessons are relevant to learner’s lives and curriculum and texts are developmentally appropriate accurate and in the proper language;

Make sure that classrooms are safe and secure equipped with school materials.

Make sure that students are regularly assessed students can actually apply their learning in real-life situation students and their family’s value gained new skills and knowledge in the school.



Data Collection and M&E:



Collects school and training data and assists Project M&E in data analysis and interpretation and report development;

Collects and compiles school and training sessions’ related data;

Assists Project M&E in data analysis and interpretation;

Submits accurate and proper monitoring supervision training observation and other relevant reports to the Field supervisor in timely manner;

Assists Project  M&E in quantitative and narrative reports’ development;

Assists Project/Field Supervisor in the development of the final versions of various reports;

Disseminates relevant information to principals and teachers.



Other relevant duties and tasks:



Assists Project/Field supervisor in setting AOP for CBE project;

Assists Project/Field supervisor in developing IOPs/APAAs in light of AOP;

Assists Project/Field Supervisor in developing project implementation and action plans operation budget and reports;

Make sure implementation of child protection and gender across CBE classes;
