COMPETENCE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Identify particular networking aspects activities and responsibilities with the various organizations in particular aspects.
Coordinate meetings between MoWA and the key network partners on the understanding of national policies and framework for promoting women rights  in Afghanistan
Organize and conduct findings and feedback sharing sessions from the SFTS project with stakeholders in the government and civil society
Will design as systematic linkage building approach which will be used to link and refer women groups and individuals with different relevant actors for networking and provision of specific and required services.

 

Skills and Experience:

At least 2-3 years experiences in the area of Advocacy Communication and community development is an asset. Training Facilitation skills planning skills Reporting skill Budgeting skills Problem solving and negotiation skills People management skills Communication skills

Education: University graduated

Work Experience: At least 2-3 years

Languages Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English Dari and Pashto languages.

Duties & Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF KEY FUNCTIONS



Communications between the organizations that work on women rights issues identifies particular activities and responsibilities with the various organizations in particular aspects builds linkages between women association and these organizations through forums coordination meetings round tables etc. The TAO is also responsible for compiling and documenting findings of the project activities data into reports for further development into advocacy issues.  The TAO identifies key government departments to lobby and negotiate with as well as NGOs and UN agencies to dialogue with for different aspects of demands as identified in the research findings and identify key allies to work with lobbying and negotiation on particular issues and demands as identified in the research.



 



Be the lead on all HP communications with other stake holders including the generation development and signing of MoUs between government departments NGOs and Humanitarian Program in line with the CO office policies.

Contribute and provide assistance on developing of all HP programs related audio/visual materials including documentaries presentations Units briefs brochures  for reporting and promoting advocacy & lobbying in close consultation with the CARE Sr. advocacy adviser-PQDL.

Identify and mapping organizations that share the same vision with Humanitarian Program and will be the project lead in developing and promoting networking for all collaborations of HP with support from PQ and technical units of HP.

Will be responsible for organizing project exposure visits internally and externally with support from the programs’ heads and the Program Manger.

Lead  the orientation sessions relevant to advocacy and lobbying project based activities to the projects staff

Ensure communication approaches of HP program is need based responsive and supportive.

Document and provide any feedback to the IP and CSOs the results of the dialogues and meetings

In close coordination with the PM UH organize discussions with the various government departments UN Women and NGOs to discuss the Afghanistan commitments in the NAP for improved understanding by the SFTS members and strategic networking

Mentor & lead advocacy committee and networking establishment based on project needs

Participate in Advocacy trainings and share within the unit/program

Ensure and support that relevant program advocacy necessities on approaches directions and concepts integrated in CARE Afghanistan Advocacy Strategy

Compile and document findings and feedback into reports from the SFTS project on the implementation of the NAP for further development into advocacy issues

Organize and conduct meetings sessions and forums to dialogue and negotiate with various stakeholders on demands by the SFTS project resulting from the consultative meetings

Organize and conduct workshops to disseminate findings of the research on violation of women rights among stakeholders at various forums – nationally and internationally  

Identify key government departments to lobby and negotiate with as well as NGOs and UN agencies to dialogue with for different aspects of demands as identified in the research findings



Identify key allies – press religious leaders and influential members of the community civil society etc. to work with lobbying and negotiation on particular issues and demands as identified in the research



KEY RELATIONS



Internal: Primarily with Project Manager PQ department and will have close working relationship with M&E and Senior Data Management officer.

External: In collaboration with project manager liaise with local authorities stakeholders government agencies as it relates to projects affairs.
