Ability to travel. Knowledge of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and Principles would be an asset.

Duties & Responsibilities

~~Function description:

• In charge of supervising all operational activities related to Tracing/Restoring Family Links (RFL) for the nine provinces of Bamyan Daykundi Ghazni Kabul Kapisa Logar Panjsheer Parwan and Maidan Wardak under the supervision and support of the Protection Team Leader in AFC

• Contributes to the implementation and running of specific projects / programs mainly independently and coordinates his/her activities to the integrated approach designed by the subdelegation

• Maintains contacts at regional and provincial level with relevant authorities the Afghan Red Crescent Society the general population staff and suppliers

• Trains and organizes work for Tracing Field Officers

Main responsibilities:

• Creates in consultation with the Protection Team Leader a strategy for improving tracing activities

• Organizes and attends regular meetings with local ARCS regional offices and branches on RFL activities mainly independently

• Receives visitors informs them about ICRC activities maintains visitors’ and other statistics

• Ensures proper documentation of RFL/Tracing cases and maintains regular contact with families and beneficiaries

• Is able to substitute for the Protection of Civilian Population Field Officer compiles information about individual cases and report them adequately to the Protection Team Leader

• Prepares reports independently

• Keeps track of RFL program expenses and adheres to all relevant rules and regulations
