Good in report writing

Under the direct supervision of the project officer The animator is responsible for identification of most vulnerable children for PSS activities and live saving activities as per defined selection criteria with close collaboration of the social worker by carrying out recreational Psychosocial activities with childern and adolescents on chid protection.
The children with specific needs are referred to the social workers.
Non formal education carried out with children base on a proper plan and teaching methodology.
PSS activities are carried out with all registered children
Keeping good coordination with social workers and community mobilizers for better implemention of the activities.
Children preparation for school integration particular for children in non formal education.
The beneficiaries are well aware about Tdh and IDP project and its activities.
Make sure during the beneficiaries selection the percentage of 45% returnees: 35 % IDP 20% HC are considered.
Main responsibilities :
Maintain good relation with communities and be sensitive about the communities’ cultures and tradition.
Identify the outdoor and indoor games for all category of children and adolescents properly.
Take part to procure good quality of materials relevant to PSS Literacy and non-formal educational activities.
Identification of proper and secure places with close coordination of social workers and community elders to organize PSS activities.
Regular visit to the targeted villages for conducting PSS activities.
Ensure that all the child protection activities in line with Child Protection Minimum standard CPMS
Build the capacity to raise awareness on child’s rights and child protection issues to children
Design and implement recreational and psychosocial support (PSS) activities actively involving children and adolescents (with a strong focus on child’s specific needs and vulnerabilities)
The children in PSS educational activities with specific needs are referred to social workers on regular bases.
Ensure that children get all necessary support during the activities and that rules and discipline are set up in a positive and constructive way
Prepare activities plan/schedule and arrange materials needed for the activities on regular bases.
Collect information (attendance sheets questionnaires etc.) and report identified cases of children with specific needs/extremely vulnerable children are referred to the social workers
Keeping regular recording the lessons learned and case stories and report them to the regional manager to be considered in the donor reporting.
Attend all required internal and external trainings and meetings properly.
Report on a weekly basis to the line manager on the progress of his/her activities.
Perform any other identical duty as assigned by line supervisor
Warmly receive children when they come to the activities
Make sure to have enough recreational educational materials at the center and create local materials for smooth and adopted PSS educational activities with chidren in the center.
Be careful not to offend any child in the course of your work ( do no harm)
Data collection and maintenance of records on the children database and shared with Data clerk.
´Animation:Organize the children by age groups and implement the activities according to their needs:
Creative/arts activities including drama music and handicrafts and aid materials creation
Educational activities lessons how to behave in a group and in society with respect of the others and oneself as well as on child rights and child duties
Activities with a psychosocial aim which includes organized and free games and sports
Expressive activities i.e. small group discussions on children’s concerns (in collaboration with the Social Workers)
Preparation of the children to be integrated into formal schools particularly for children in non-formal educational whose age is from 7 to 13 years.
