Bachelor’s degree with two years’ relevant experience or baccalaureate degree with four years relevant experience.

The Assistant Circulation Officer is responsible for contributing to the smooth operation of the library providing excellent customer service to patrons and participating in relevant aspects of internal library operations.
Participate in daily operations of the library and all circulation desk services.
Maintain coverage of the circulation desk; sometimes alone.
Check circulating books and course reserves in/out.
Respond to information queries referring to supervisor as needed.
Demonstrate use of catalog and databases to patrons one-on-one.
Return books to shelves and conduct regular shelf reading.
Maintain the comfort and appearance of the Library; straighten chairs tidy tables turn AC/fans/lights on/off as needed.
Assist in opening and/or closing of the library.
Track activities on in-house trackers.
Answer inquiries from patrons and faculty in a professional manner giving accurate information in a timely manner. Evaluate when to refer patron to supervisor.
Resolve patron issues and control patron disturbances in a professional manner; refer to supervisor as needed.
Ensure accuracy and quality in all circulation services.
Participate in textbook distribution and return as needed.
Adhere to and enforce library policies and procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or the Library Director.
