Work Experience: At least two ’ experience with governmental a Years
  • At least two years’ experience with governmental and non-governmental institutions preferably in similar positions;
  • Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written directions;
  • Must be able to work under pressure pay attention to details show self-initiative;
  • Good office knowledge;


  • A degree diploma or certificate in Business Administration management or any other related field;
  • Fluency in English; Dari and Pashto.
  • Good communication skills of speaking writing and listening;
  • Skilled in MS Office (MS Word MS Excel Power Point Access)


  • Have the capacity to plan and manage a multiple deadlines working environment;
  • Have a flexible attitude to changing priorities and adaptability to the environment;
  • Good team player and capable of working in multicultural environment;
  • Ability and willingness to work in a high pressure environment;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Must be self-starter with excellent demonstrated teamwork skills.

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to the Executive Director and accountable to WEERDP Senior Management


Duties & Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant to the Executive Director will be tasked to ensure effective scheduling of meetings and appointments calendar maintaining of filing system in the office of Executive Director; answer screen forward and returns phone calls and messages; and providing necessary support to the Executive Director.  She will coordinate with others involved in the office towards achieving the WEERDP’s vision of responsiveness productivity and efficiency.


  • Manage and follow up on all scheduling for Executive Director which includes maintaining appointments calendar and tracking system for requests commitments etc;
  • Communicate with regarding their requests and refer them to related units and/or responsible staff members;
  • Assist in arranging and organizing of workshops and other events related to WEERDP;
  • Maintain contacts and facilitates information exchange between the office members work partners (governmental and non-governmental institutions) and other institutions;
  • Monitor national print media (mainly newspapers and magazines) and provide regular and reliable information about economic developments in Afghanistan to the Executive Director ;
  • Maintain good liaison with MoWA departments and national as well as regional programmers;
  • Perform general administrative and clerical tasks including data entry filing and other tasks as necessary;
  • As instructed draft correspondence and miscellaneous documents in English and Dari;
  • Answer screen forward and/or returns phone calls and messages;
  • Makes photocopies and scans documents if and when required;
  • Other duties as required.
