  • University Degree is required in relevant field is required.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Afghan civil society in Kabul and provinces.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Confidence and experience in public speaking
  • Demonstrable experience of engaging diverse civil society groups (women youth victims and more traditional actors such as community leaders and religious actors)
  • Good command of written and spoken Dari and Pashto as well as English.
  • Worked in program management position particularly in dealing with civil society organizations and community engagement minimum years and over all work experience of at least 7 years.

Duties & Responsibilities

AMIP is seeking to hire a competent candidate based on the criteria described below for the position of Civil Society Outreach Officer who will be working under the direct supervision of secretariat Coordinator as well co-directors.


  • Take the lead in developing outreach strategy for engagement of civil society organizations in line with the objectives of AMIP.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with civil society organizations and networks in Kabul and provinces.  
  • Regular communication with regional nodes and follows up on updates on civil society activities and advocacy efforts in provinces and districts.
  • Attend civil society meetings and develop monthly situation briefs on civil society activities. 
  • Represent AMIP in civil society gatherings 
  • Speak coherently and confidently at events about AMIP activities.
  • Have relevant experience of engagement with media 
  • Strong facilitation skills in managing civil society events and workshops.
  • Represent AMIP at relevant NGO fora and networks pertaining to outreach activities; 
  • Collaborate with other AMIP activities to share experiences of best practice; 
  • Keep accurate records of outreach activities and provide analysis to the AMIP management. 
  • Contribute to team effort by undertaking additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by seniors;
