Minimum education training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
B.A in education sharia law sociology or any related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in community development mentoring and education.
Skilled in community mobilization and sensitization.
Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto both written and spoken
Preferred Skills Knowledge and Experience:
Excellent English speaking and writing skills
Demonstrable experience in child protection child rights
Strong monitoring skills
Interpersonal management and conflict resolution skills.
Communication skills and knowledge of local communities.
Understanding of Child Protection issues.
Understanding of Gender issues
Knowledge of MS Office and statistical programs
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong skills in oral and written Dari.
At least one year of supervisory experience prior experience in remote management strongly preferred.
Prior experience in data analysis; program and M&E reporting also preferred.
Prior experience in social change and community projects.
Strong network with the private sector.
Ready to work closely with community and the involved stakeholders.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The CEF will facilitate the effective implementation of the community change component of the project in the project sites. S/he will facilitate all the relevant trainings on the Community Change model in the respective areas.
Facilitate meetings with communities in Darb-e-Kandahar Hindosoozi and Shalbafan.
Engage and facilitate assessments on knowledge attitude and practices on harmful traditions in the target communities.
Identify community facilitators to facilitate social change training and processes for the local families and communities.
Conduct ToT for the project community facilitators.
Conduct refresher training on social change for the facilitators.
Encouraging IDPs representation in the community shuras through joint IDP and host community Monthly meetings.
Conduct training on social cohesion and peace building for community shura members local leaders (including religious leaders).
Provide child protection training and IEC materials and resources to multiple sector programmes groups (S4T groups PTAs Womens Market Water Management Groups and Shuars) to help them to prevent violence against children.
Establish and train community level Child Protection Committee (Faith leaders CDC members Women Shura members and community activists) and link it with provincial level CPAN.
Train Municipality Police on Child Rights and how to street working children
Other tasks assigned by the PM.
