Following experience and qualifications are required for this position:
Reading and writing ability in local languages 12th grade degree and knowledge of English language is a plus.
Sound knowledge of Kabul and surrounding areas. Knowledge of provinces. Thorough knowledge traffic laws.
Must be able to operate passenger vehicles.
Must possess a valid local driver’s license.
Knowledge of Dari Pashto languages is required.
The position involves supporting and assisting the Asan Khedmat administration team. The Driver is expected to carry staff from work to office and Vis versa as well as taking any staff to other work related locations such as the Ministries organizations bank etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Driver will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle including checking the oil water fuel battery brakes tires windscreen washer lights etc. Will be responsible for performing minor repairs and arranging for other repairs.
Make sure that every morning the vehicle is clean and ready for travelling.
Maintain records of major repair/ maintenance work on the vehicle e.g. replacement of major parts tires batteries body spraying etc. Ensuring that the vehicle is kept well-fueled in case of emergency or unforeseen events.
Carrying the staff to work related locations as necessary.
Abiding by the Afghanistan traffic law and code of conduct.
Fill in log book according to organization policy and procedures.
