Background Information - Job-specific
The Project officer for Humanitarian Aid will be responsible for the implementation of the emergency project in Ghor province.
He / She coordinates the project teams and ensures the operational and qualitative aspects of Humanitarian aid programmes are put into practice properly (monitoring of objectives respecting due dates and budgetary provisions quality control synergy of the teams) according to the contractual documents and in line with Cordaid policies and procedures;
He / She will be the focal point for the humanitarian aid program in Ghor and other provinces as needed.;
Proactive in providing field information for the natural and manmade disasters to Kabul main office.
Ensuring strategic direction of project operations day to day management and delivery of the Project’s components.
Maintains regular contact with IPs on programmatic issues and oversees the work of the project
Participate in all internal and external (coordination) meetings representing the Cordaid;
Coordinates with existing program activities and capitalize on other ongoing similar interventions in the same sectors by other implementing agencies;
Participate with IPs for the selection implementation coordination and monitoring of the project.
Prepare inception reports work plans and regular donor progress and impact reports for the project;
Ensure the achievement of outputs in line with the approved work plan through the day-to-day planning management coordination and implementation of activities;
Ensures monitoring and evaluation of the projects including regular field visits and report on project progress and constraints;
Ensures that all programming is initiated on Rights Based approach and that program resources are used in a balanced way
Preparation of high quality project documents reports site visit reports photo and innovative ideas for future proposals and encouraging adequate peer review of the same through established mechanisms.

Act as security focal point for the province.
Closely coordinate with Kabul Main office on the project progress and other aspects.

Hold regular with IP team to discuss programme activities and resolve any issues
Close Coordination with Kabul office on project progress and reporting
Follow the security protocols of Cordaid and also ensure that these protocols are respected and follow by the project team.
Report any security related information to the HA Manager and Security responsible
Coordinate activities with other actors and Cordaid’s sectors.
Proactive engagement in external coordination forums and regular bilateral communication with other NGOs UN agencies government ministries and humanitarian actors at the provincial level
Attend country wide coordination meetings in Kabul as required
Attend and participate in trainings identified/ organized by your supervisor
Follow any new procedures and guidelines designated in circulars from MO
To report any violations of the Cordaid mandatory report of policies to the HA manager and Reginal. The reporting of violations is an obligation on the part of all staff members.
To assist where necessary in undertaking activities that aim to prevent the occurrence of sexual abuse and exploitation of beneficiaries by Cordaid and other humanitarian workers.
Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
