University degree in Medicine Development policy Economic Social Science International development or other related field.
Seven year professional experience with government NGOs and UN agencies in GBV or health.
A demonstrated abilities in GBV Health Sector
Roles and Responsibilities:
Implementation of Gender Strategic Plan Policies and other relevant gender issues according to gender policies framework.
Expedites and coordinates UNFPA GBV programme implementation establishing collaborative relationships with executing agencies experts key ministries and UN agencies facilitating timely and efficient delivery of gender programme inputs
Assists advocacy and resource mobilization efforts of the Gender department by preparing relevant documentation i.e. project summaries conference papers speeches donor profiles and participating in donor meetings and public information events.
Providing technical and expert support to the implementation of UNFPA Country program Action Plan from 2015- 2019 related output.
Support GBV referral through health sector as entry point.
Support implementation of Nation Priority Program 5 health for all.
Develop Annual work plan for Gender department of MOPH
Providing technical and expert support to the implementation of health sector response to Gender Based Violence.
Assist and coach GBV project staff.
Mentor and facilitate GBV related training in MOPH.
Precise monitoring of Gender Strategic Plan’s Translation as a major activity.
Appropriate monitoring of planning coordination and practicing gender policies.
To ensure and develop professional relationship with related committees of ministries MOI MOWA MOJ AGO international donors Ministry of Finance in order to coordinate main GBV relevant issues.
Assist and manage GBV data collection system and coordination with line department.
Oversee the development and implementation of appropriate Strategies for further recruitment of staff in alliance with Gender Policies.
Mentoring Family Protection Centers and the concept of Multi Sectoral Response to Gender Based Violence
