Must have at least 6 years’ experience in road construction projects in Afghanistan.
Understand of National and English languages
Capable minimum in MS Office AutoCAD Primavera P6 and Internet knowledge.
Ability to work under extreme pressure and very close-fitting deadline.
Duties & Responsibilities :
The position will require strong communication with lead consultants contractors and stakeholders and to contribute to project planning strategies.
The duties and responsibilities of the Project manager will be but not limited to as following:
Travel to proposed project location
Preparing of Planning for execution of all Road construction activities
The Project Manager will be overall responsible for the successful completion of his assigned road project from pre-construction steps to the final handover.
Project manager should lead project planning execution monitoring and closing out in all concerned technical and contractual terms.
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
Review and approve the detailed design for construction of the road in accordance with the technical specifications and the Interim Road Standards
Ensure that the permanent and temporary works are constructed in accordance with the provisions of the Contracts.
Overall construction supervision of the project to ensure that the project is
carried out on schedule and to the required design specification and within
administrating assessing and where appropriate making recommendations on applications for extension of time claims for additional payment and
other contractual disputes
Supervised and checked layout profile cross-section and final grade elevation for all layers.
Giving advance work schedule and guidelines to surveyors/Site Engineer especially before execution of any critical construction activities to avoid errors and delay in the project.
Preparation of daily weekly & monthly progress Reports to the project Client.
To be able to attend any meetings with clients.
Flexibility to regulate work in different environments across the site.
Keep strong and clear communication with Senior Management at all times.
Responsibility for the clear communication of site situation across financial personnel and all areas in both short and long term to the Director of Construction and Director of Engineering.
Decision Making – Be aware of the impact of decisions on the team and be able to make decisions based on limited information.
Problem Solving – Being aware of and understanding the implications of new information for both current and future situations.
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
Perform other duties as requested by CEO
