§ Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field is essential
§ Master’s degree is desirable
§ Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience with national and international organizations.
§ Experience with preparation of project proposals and concept notes
Other experiences and skills:
§ Management experience under challenging conditions.
§ Report writing skills.
§ Good communication skills
§ Computer literacy.
§ Language: Fluent in Dari/Pashto/English is essential.
Under direct supervision of the team leader the Project Officer will carry out day to day activities for smooth operation of the programme.
2. Related Tasks:
The project officer must:
§ Manage the filing system for the project and ensure documents are accurate and up to date
§ Coordinate meetings with partners throughout the project lifetime including preparing agenda taking minutes and follow ups
§ Support the project manager in collecting of data for project activities and preparing presentations for partners
§ Assist the project manager to coordinate with construction unit and other implementing partners
§ Document learnings of the project to ensure adaptive project implementation
§ Provide support for the timely and quality submission of reports success stories and other documents as per organizational requirements policies and procedures
§ Assist the project manager and team leader in submission of project completed activities in Dev Tracker Afghanistan website
§ Build and maintain strong relationships with the partners and ensure regular knowledge sharing as per instruction of project manager and or team leader
§ Represent the project at external meetings with partners and other stakeholders when needed
§ Ensure proper coordination of the project’s external communication efforts with project manager and team leader
§ Prepare communication and monitoring plans with consultation of project manager and team leader and follow up with the activities
§ Ensure that the project’s monitoring data is accurate and relevant
§ With the approval of the manager or the team leader you work on conceptual design particularly modifying or realigning the project or activities
3. General Tasks:
§ To follow up the correct implementation of partners of GIZ own projects.
§ To support the team leader in preparation of new projects.
§ You may be assigned individual tasks related to project administration and project implementation. With the approval of your manager or of the officer responsible for implementation you work on conceptual design particularly about modifying or realigning the project or Programme.
4. Other Duties/Additional Tasks:
§ To be able to provide necessary information related to funded projects to implementation partners such local authorities and communities’ leaders.
§ To facilitate and arrange field visits for international visitors and GIZ personal
