Protection Officer/Training Officer (Female)

Graduation degree from a recognized University of social work psychology medicine or related institutions.

At least 3 years of experience in Protection and GBV field in similar roles in governmental or non-governmental organizations.

Experience in organizing and facilitating training on GBV related topics

Expertise in Microsoft Office including Word Excel PowerPoint Excel and internet is required.

Communication skills and strong local language correspondence skill. Particularly in fluency in English Dari and Pashtu speaking /writing skills are required.

Ability to write logical clear and concise reports.

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:

The Protection Officer/Training Officer will be responsible for carrying the following and not limit to:

Planning and supervision of protection/GBV activities in the field supervise mobile team to ensure that all planned activities are carried out timely.

Ensure that the protection/GBV activities are implemented following standard procedures and sensitivity to avoid negative impact in the field.

Strengthen case management and referral system and to improve data management system within the targeted working areas.

Organize and facilitate project related trainings.

Work with team and communities to develop appropriate prevention and awareness raising in the targeted provinces.

Collect progress updates for the field team prepare biweekly monthly and quarterly reports on time and submit to line manager.

Work closely with logistic and security department and ensure necessary logistical/administrative and security processes and protocols for the field team.

Represents International Medical Corps and the GBV project component at local and provincial level in coordination with line manager; attend meetings sharing information and providing feedback when requested.

Actively participate in protection and GBV working groups and contribute in interagency initiatives and promote International Medical Corps as a leader agency in GBV.

Ensure maximum visibility of International Medical Corps and donor while implementing the project activities.

Supervise support and guide the field mobile team and other project staff in the province to ensure project objectives are met to improve program quality cultural appropriateness and adheres organizational policies and procedures donor requirements and host government guidelines.

Technical Support to GBV team in conducting GBV prevention and response activities in the field referral of GBV survivors and conducting trainings for health staff in the targeted provinces.

Assist in establishing GBV Referral network among GBV Actors

Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies.

Consider security implications of all program activities review all new initiatives with national staff and community leaders.

Perform other duties as requested to oversee the implementation of quality GBV prevention and response activities building capacity and promote international Medical Corps as a leader agency in GBV.

Support GBV Site Manager for training of GBV staff.

Excellent communication skills fluent in Dari and English both writing and speaking

Very good computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel and Power Point.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Strong organizational able to exercise sound judgment and proactive problem-solver.

Autonomous creative with ability to work with limited resources.

Good understanding of the project cycle and teamwork.
