Minimum of 5 for bachelor’s degree and 3 yea سال
At least Bachelor’s Degree in gender and women studies gender and development Law Social sciences Management or any other related fields; Master Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years for bachelor’s degree and 3 years for master’s degree holders of relevant experience promoting women’s rights equity or access to justice;
Experience in conducting trainings on gender awareness and equality issues;
Experience developing curriculum and training materials utilizing adult education and behaviour change methodologies.
Good understanding of gender context in the country
Fluency one of local languages Pashto and Dari required; English is a plus.
Excellent administrative skills.
The ability to think creatively and be proactive in program management.
Self-motivated and well organized.
Ability to work collaboratively supportively and respectfully with others.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility and willingness to travel inside the country if needed
The Senior Gender Officer will provide gender related technical support to CSP. She/he will work on integrating and mainstreaming gender across the project. She/he will undertake the following tasks but not limited to:
Provide advice and technical input with regards to gender mainstreaming within CSP.
Set priorities develop and implement a clear and comprehensive Gender Strategy for CSP in consultation with Gender Division and CSP Management departments.
Provide feedback to project Managers to ensure the practical implementation of activities within Gender Strategy/Framework is considering gender perspectives.
Provide inputs and comments on the development of action plan gender policy and make recommendations and suggestions ensuring that all these documents and projects/programs are gender informed.
Providing support in reviewing monitoring and evaluation reports from gender lens as well as helping in conducting gender assessment when needed with Gender Division.
Ensure Gender is mainstreamed during the activity’s formulation and that gender specific intervention are considered in the design stage of these activities by working closes with all departments and partners.
Ensure meaningful participation of female community members in the project; ensure proper consultation with women; women are engaged in selection of sub-projects or any community development activities; women and people with disabilities have voices in selecting sub-projects; and finally they are well aware of the overall project activities and have full access to the project grievance redress mechanism (GRM)
Participate in recruitment policy development and project planning.
Represent CSP in relevant meetings on demand of Project Manager.
Aid in data collection compiling lessons learned establishing indicators to support knowledge sharing.
In consultation and collaboration with the capacity building department/unit of the project oversee guide and support developing/strengthening/revising gender awareness and mainstreaming trainings to serve as project standard training material for all FPs and project staff.
Create linkage and coordination with the gender division of the program and Gender Unit (GU) of the Ministry for better coordination and collaborations.
Support the ministry GU in gender mainstreaming activities beyond the project scope and help in capacity building of the GU staff.
Carry out any other responsibilities as required by the project senior management.
Develop and implement a comprehensive and pragmatic safe-workplace strategy and mechanisms (taking into consideration the 2018 National Law on Anti-Harassment of Women and Children World Bank’s Tackling SEA/H Good Practice Note and other guidelines and technical notes) to ensure a safe and harassment-free work environment raise awareness about the issue and have systems in place to tackle when cases arise.
As part of the safe-workplace strategy develop/adopt a proper Code of Conduct in local languages to be applied (signed and abided by) to all employees and labourers under the project to mitigate any risks associated with SEA/H.
As would be indicated in the safe-workplace strategy and based on the 2018 anti-harassment law of the country establish an anti-harassment committee who would oversee proper registration and handling of harassment complaints while keeping in mind the three guiding principles in safe and ethical handling of SEA/H allegations (Confidentiality survivor-centricity survivor safety)
Regularly advice project management on safe workplace environment for male and female staff.
