At least bachelor’s degree in communications journalism marketing social sciences or any other related field. Master’s degree will be an advantage.
Experience in design and development of complex websites and webpages and management of social media
Must have at least four years post bachelor’s degree experience in communications PR research marketing or publishing/digital content
In-depth knowledge of the Social Media and HubSpot Content Optimization System
Good attention to details creativity and knowledge of information technology
Familiarity with publishing and software design
Strong communications skills and an up-to-date awareness of marketing techniques
Analytical and assessment capacity and time management skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and local languages
Knowledge in website design and maintenance
The Social Media Officer works within the Public Communications Division (PCD) and assists the overall maintenance and design of CCNPP website and social media pages. S/he makes sure that the information and messages through online platforms are well-structured accurate current and easy to find and also assists in performing the coding and other technical requirements of the website and social media. S/he will make sure that the website and other social media platforms meet the requirements of its diverse users audience and CCNPP stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Social Media Officer will specifically perform the following tasks:
Assist in planning development and implementation of the CCNPP strategy for website and social media;
Create and implement the action plan for posting contents of the websites and social media pages;
Assist in preparing contents such as articles stories press releases spots videos documentaries and infographics;
Ensure that Facebook Twitter Instagram and LinkedIn communities receive quality information through effective moderation and strong management;
Record review and analyze feedback and comments of the online audience and share with the PCD Head and other relevant divisions;
Create engaging creative and audience-liked social media contents considering the branding guidelines and wider organizational objectives;
Regularly update the whole CCNPP team on the progress of social media and website activities and call for their action when required;
Follow up with the concerned staff on the innovative designs tactics and approaches to improve the website and other social media visibility to make sure these platforms are dynamic appealing and have improved user interfaces;
Assist with conducting online surveys of the users and study their perception of the website and enhance the contents based on that;
Carry out search engine analysis to maximize traffic on the website and initiate approaches and tactics to increase its online marketing presence and performance and grow the subscribers;
Conduct regular monitoring of the website and social media statistics and prepare regular analytical reports to evaluate the progress and provide response;
Develop guidelines for producing contents for the website and social media;
Regularly monitor the activities/interactions on the website and social media accounts and filter inappropriate/offensive comments/posts and respond to critical comments;
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of PCD and management.
